    THE IMPACT OF DISCO MATANGA ON EDUCATIONAL PERFORMANCE IN PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN KILIFI COUNTY.

    This research study sought to analyze the impact of disco Matanga amongst the spheres of school going children in Kilifi County following an outcry of how enrolment of students in primary school within the county. Also, the educational performance of these students was a concern, and these were key aspects of the study. It thus had such objectives as to determine the level of enrolment of pupils in schools within Kilifi, to identify the effects of disco Matanga on academic performance as well as to provide for recommendation on academic performance in primary schools in Kilifi. This study has shown great significance to the Kilifi County Government on matters of education within the county. Also, other researchers would benefit from this piece of work while making references to it. The descriptive research design and sampling techniques in which 80% of the entire population formed the sample size and thus the study used primary and secondary data to analyze the data for accurate findings to be gathered. Both quantitative and qualitative analysis were deployed for clear interpretational and description of data. The key recommendation of this study was total involvement of stakeholders, the pupils, parents and the school management should be empowered to take up their position and see into it that learning is smoothly facilitated. Such other recommendation included burning disco Matanga within the county, providing for motivational avenue to pupils who do well in school and have their academic standard improved.
