Sustainable Development is a process of change in which the exploitation of resources, the direction of investments, the orientation of technological development; and institutional change are all in harmony and enhance both current and future potential to meet human needs and aspirations. This paper presents a review of the literature on role of universities in achievement of sustainable development goals. It specifically highlights how the Universities can contribute to achievement of the sustainable development goals. Finally, the paper gives recommendations on what universities should do in order to effectively contribute to the achievement of sustainable development goals.
