The objective was to examine the project management practices and performance of education projects through the study of Kajiado County with the specific objective of establishing the effect of project funding. System theory served as the study's primary anchor theory and was reinforced by stakeholder theory. The target audience consisted of 200 respondents, and the study employed a descriptive research design. A stratified random sampling technique was used to determine a sample size of 100 participants. Questionnaires were used to collect raw data. Ten participants were chosen at random to participate in the pilot study from the target population. The findings indicate that project management practices and the performance of education projects have a significant relationship. Thus, the predictor variable project funding is statistically significant, indicating that raising the average index of predictor variables should improve the performance of education projects. This will help the future county government of Kajiado and the National government determine how to best implement these recommendations to maximize the performance of education projects the National government should invest more to ensure efficient and performance implementation of the educational infrastructure projects in a way that is more sustainable research on current funding trends while implementing ongoing financial management skill development and infrastructure that support this crucial aspect of project implementation.
