dc.description.abstractThe study aimed to assess the factors affecting appraisal of suppliers in public sector with reference to Kenya National Highways Authority. The specific focus was to examine the outcome of competition on appraisal of suppliers in public sectors, to determine the effects of leadership style on appraisal of suppliers in public sector, to establish the effects of staff training on appraisal of suppliers in public sector and to assess the effects of cost of operation on appraisal of suppliers in public sector. The people covered were workers mainly Human Resources and Administration Staffs, Road Engineers, Road inspectors, supervisors and management to personnel with a target population of 200. A descriptive research design was employed to conduct the research. The project completion take place in March to June 2021 for the entire duration as required by the University Management.
